Part of Simply Cross Stitch's collection of kits depicting Vincent Van Gogh's paintings.
The Starry Night is considered to be one of Van Gogh's masterpieces. It was painted the month after he voluntarily admitted himself to the asylum at Saint-Rémy-de-Provence in 1889. The painting depicts the view from Van Gogh's asylum window just before dawn.
After finishing the painting, Van Gogh wrote to his brother "Through the iron-barred window, I can see an enclosed square of wheat ... above which, in the morning, I watch the sun rise in all its glory."
This counted cross stitch kit imaginatively captures the image painted by Van Gogh in a composition of size 46x35cm
